His Dark Majesty

His Dark Majesty is a story driven, turn based strategy game. The player controls units one at a time by selecting them with a cursor, and them moving them into place, attacking or defending other units based on turns left after moving. There are 23 Chapters to the story and 26 units in the base game; an editor was later released that allows users to create their own campaigns.

The game is well regarded in the Atari community for pushing the 8bit capabilities; although not fast action, there are good graphics, sound, responsive AI and many hours of content provided on a single disk along with the ability to generate more.
